English The College of Education for Women was established as an extension of the College of Education-Hawija on September 25, 2014, which consisted of two departments: History and Life Sciences Departments.
The Arabic Language Department was opened in the academic year 2016–2017 and then followed by the Physics Department in the academic year 2017–2018, after which the college’s name was changed from (College of Education-Hawiaj) to (College of Education for Women). Female students joined college with a high school diploma in 1444 AH / 2022 AD. The dean of the college Professor, Dr.Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Al-Jubouri puts all the scientific, educational and administrative energies in order to make the college perform its scientific and educational role in the direction of achieving its goals in preparing teaching staff for secondary education and preparing female students to the optimal preparation to contribute to the leadership of the new Iraqi society. The principles guide to the creation of human who believes in God and his homeland, the creative innovator, who are able to face the challenges of the era no matter how great they are, armed themselves with science and knowledge, adhering to the lofty Islamic values and their principled applications consciously in the affairs of all life.
College Vision:
The College seeks to create professional scientific cadres, and looks forward to graduating qualified female teachers scientifically and educationally and to create an educational generation capable of building and reforming society in acceptable, scientific and educational fields, as well as to prepare researchers capable of contributing effectively in writing theoretical and applied research that supports the path of the scientific and educational movement in proportion to the university's role in developing the capabilities of society and its institutions, and keeps pace with developments and changes taking place in the world.
College Message:
The message of the college is to provide the best teachers and researchers capable of creativity in various branches of knowledge and then to contribute seriously and effectively to meet the needs of educational institutions appropriately, and keep pace with the development of knowledge in the scientific, educational and technical fields, and then deliver a message to society. Science is the foundation of life. Hence, the graduates from faculties of education are at the forefront of spreading this science and the real reform of society.
College Objectives:
1-Preparing specialized teaching cadres and qualifying them to provide high and middle schools with their needs of those cadres.
2-Developing the educational process and encouraging research and self-learning for students to perform their duties to the fullest.
3-Updating the educational programs at the college, providing the educational qualification for the university teacher, and contributing to the development of various aspects of the educational system in Iraq.
4-Spreading the spirit of scientific research and working to develop it in a way that helps to serve the Iraqi society.
5-Interacting with formal and informal community institutions through holding conferences, seminars, training courses and giving consultation in proportion to the University's role in knowledge development and realizing creativity.
6-Providing educational and specialized consultations to the state departments and the private and joint sectors .
7- Building the scientific and educational personality of female graduates in order to help them interact educationally and have a positive impact on female students and society.
