Importance of the Specialization
The Artificial Intelligence department at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Kirkuk, was established as an extension of the rapid cognitive revolution in machine learning and big data. Officially founded on 1/9/2020, the department continues to prepare graduates for careers in public and private institutions that rely on intelligent data analysis and automated systems.
The department welcomes high school graduates (Science and Applied branches) and continuously reviews its research strategies to serve national issues in scientific, industrial, and environmental fields using smart models.

Mission
Teaching the fundamentals and techniques in building and designing: Expert Systems, Machine Learning Models, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing (NLP), alongside conducting pioneering scientific research.

Degree Awarded
The academic program consists of four full academic years following a rigorous curriculum that includes both theoretical and practical courses. Upon completing the requirements, graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Artificial Intelligence.
