Individual Games

The individual sports branch was established when the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was opened at the University of Kirkuk in 2013/2014. The branch includes all individual sports, including (athletics, physical fitness, boxing, fencing, wrestling, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, racket games, and weightlifting). The branch is headed by A.M. Dr. Shaheen Ramzi Rafiq Rashid Al-Jaf   and the branch rapporteur  Eng. Saadallah Saeed Majeed.

These subjects are taught in the four stages as follows:

A-     The first stage (scouting, athletics, swimming, weightlifting, and physical fitness).

B - The second stage (athletics, artistic gymnastics, boxing, and rhythmic gymnastics for female students).

T - The third stage (wrestling, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, fencing, racket games, athletics).

D- The fourth stage (athletics).

Objectives

1- Preparing trainers to train teams for individual sports with high efficiency and quality to work in various sports institutions.

2-   Preparing experienced and competent teachers to work in schools to serve students and society.

3-   Using modern technology in education and teaching individual games.

4-   Educating students in terms of sports and raising their sports awareness.

5-   Spreading sports culture and raising sports awareness among learners, while working to make sports one of the important means.

6-   Nurturing talented people to create champions in various individual sports.

7-   Contributing to the development of various sports programs and working with other relevant ministries.
