Dean's speech

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was established at the University of Kirkuk after planning and scientific study of the needs of the region, the city, and the community, in line with the increase in the number of students wishing to complete their university studies in the field of physical education and sports sciences, and to create a family atmosphere for them during their university studies, instead of their parents traveling to study far from their families.

Study at the college includes four academic years, including theoretical lectures, practical lessons, laboratory hours, the English language, and summer and winter camps, in addition to qualifying, training, and arbitration courses, and participation in research, conferences, and international and local races, as well as ways to maintain public health and sports nutrition.

The college works to keep pace with the cultural, social and economic change and development of society and global scientific and technical development to keep pace with the scientifically and technologically advanced international colleges and universities. It symbolizes the preservation of traditions, culture and the changes taking place in social growth and works to develop teaching and learning methods and make theoretical sciences complement scientific lessons and continue to develop, apply and multiply. Educational courses in all fields of sports to ensure that the student is provided with knowledge on an ongoing basis, develop curricula in the academic stages to be taught in schools and sports institutes, and take into account suggestions and developments taking place in society. The college also guarantees continuing education for the teaching staff and members of the career service.

The college aims to establish arenas, halls, and sports service buildings to include all health aspects, modern technological services, and technical information in the sports field, and to establish scientific laboratories to conduct teaching in a correct and integrated manner and to give sufficient knowledge to students and develop them healthily and psychologically to serve the community.
