Professor participates in international symposium in Turkey

Assistant Professor Dr. Omid Ahmed Al-Tukmji, Lecturer at the Department of Applied Geology at the Faculty of Science / University of Kirkuk, attended the international symposium in Ankara, Republic of Turkey via the Zoom. The theme was "The Earth in the Light of Quranic Verses and Scientific Data". Al-Tukmji's paper was "How God Almighty made the earth a mulch in the light of geological sciences and scientific miracles in verses that describe the earth as a cradle or resting place".

The attendants, from various Arab and Islamic countries, admired the topic. They discussed the scientific meanings associated with Quranic verses and their consistence with modern geological discoveries.
