The College of Science/University of Kirkuk organizes a scientific workshop on the careful selection of titles of dissertations

In implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the presidency of the University of Kirkuk in developing the skills of graduate students and researchers, the College of Science organized an in-person workshop on the careful selection of titles for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, in the presence of graduate students and a number of researchers.

The workshop, which was delivered by Professor Dr. Awaz Behrouz Muhammad, teaching at the College of Science/Department of biology, discussed the foundations, standards, and conditions for choosing the appropriate title for the dissertation and the extent of its compatibility with the directions of the ministry and the university, its relationship to the labor market, and meeting the needs of society. The workshop also touched on common mistakes when choosing a title and the necessity of informing graduate students of previous research and studies to avoid repetition. The researcher must be precise and specific in his choice of title, otherwise he may face difficulty in collecting and analyzing research material.

The workshop concluded with a discussion of the proposed titles for thesis and dissertations for the students participating in the workshop
