College of Science/University of Kirkuk organizes a scientific workshop on (How to conduct research based on a master’s thesis and choosing the appropriate journal for publication)

In implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Kirkuk to develop the skills of graduate students and researchers, the College of Science organized a scientific workshop on how to correctly prepare a research extracted from a master’s thesis, in the presence of graduate students and a number of researchers.

The workshop, which was delivered by Dr. Iman Tajer Abdullah, a lecturer in the Biology Department, dealt with a scientific lecture on how to convert a master’s thesis into a research paper that can be published in one of the reputable journals, and the necessity of following the appropriate methodology in choosing the research topic, determining its objectives, the time plan and the materials required to complete the research in a specific time, collecting and analyzing Data and interpreting the results correctly, as well as writing the research in an elaborate scientific manner and documenting the sources used accurately in accordance with the approved academic method to achieve the desired goals. This type of activity contributes to expanding the researcher’s knowledge and adding value to his field of research.

The workshop was well-received and appreciated by the attendees because of the useful topics it included related to publishing research in reputable journals because of their role in expanding the knowledge of researchers and contributing to the development of the field they study.
