English Highlights of the Scientific Clearance System
Time and Department
The clearance is conducted in the scientific department of the college to be transferred to within two weeks of receiving the file. The committee issues its decision specifying the fulfilled and required subjects.
Transfer Cases
Subject Matching
The student is admitted to the same stage if the curricula match or differ by only one or two subjects (attendance and examination).
Curriculum Differences
If the subjects differ by more than two, the student is given the choice between demoting to a lower stage or rejecting the transfer.
Postgraduate Clearance
Required when the applicant's scientific background does not match the specialization, requiring a "graduation document with grades" (Transcript) to evaluate the completed units.
Transfer from Outside Iraq
Subject to the "Certificate Equivalency Foundations" regulations, where the scientific clearance must not exceed 50% of the study requirements.
Important Notes
- The years of demotion to a lower stage are not calculated within the time limit, but are indicated in the document.
- "Democracy and Human Rights" subjects are not included in the clearance calculations.
- The clearance must be completed before the official transfer orders are issued.
