The workshop aimed to achieve several objectives, most notably:

  • -Enhancing scientific awareness: raising students’ and healthcare staff’s awareness of the importance of relying on credible scientific sources in delivering nursing care, away from rumors and unreliable information.
  • -Linking health and the environment: highlighting the health risks resulting from climate change in Iraq, and the readiness of healthcare institutions to address them.
  • -Developing awareness skills: enabling participants to develop modern health promotion approaches that contribute to increasing preventive awareness among community members.
  • -Activating field partnership: strengthening integration between academic and practical aspects by aligning the outcomes of nursing studies with the requirements of healthcare institutions, in line with the objectives of World Health Day.

This workshop is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance health and environmental awareness and to develop students’ capacities in addressing contemporary health challenges, thereby contributing to community service and improving the level of healthcare.
