College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk Organizes Awareness Campaign Titled “Seasonal Influenza Vaccine: A Simple Step Toward Better Health”

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Hiwa Sattar Saleh, the Student Activity Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Basic Sciences and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized an awareness campaign titled "Seasonal Influenza Vaccine: A Simple Step Toward Better Health."

The campaign featured educational guidance on seasonal influenza, methods of prevention, and the vital role of seasonal vaccination in reducing infection rates and severe complications. It also focused on fostering health consciousness and encouraging members of the university community to adopt preventive measures, particularly during peak influenza season.

Furthermore, the initiative aimed to enhance health literacy among students and staff, highlighting prevention and immunization as fundamental strategies for safeguarding public health and curbing the spread of respiratory illnesses.
