Law Department

An Overview of the Department and its Importance:

The Law Department occupies such importance that it represents the backbone of the college. How could it not, as it specializes in organizing the affairs of students, teachers, and curricula, which are the trinity of higher education and scientific research.

Vision, Mission and Objectives

Vision:

The department seeks to have a level of performance comparable to other departments in law faculties in various universities around the world, so that it improves the image of the reality of the triad of higher education ((students, teachers, curricula)).

The message:

- Holding seminars related to issues currently occurring in society and hosting specialized persons for the purpose of clarifying matters to people and educating them in various fields.

- Educating community members about legal aspects and trying to confirm the leadership role of the university through seminars in which clerics, politicians, educators, and law professors are hosted.

- Teachers participate in conferences, courses, and seminars for police departments and directorates and various civil society organizations.

- Holding many legal and administrative courses for various state departments, at a rate of (4-5) courses annually.

- Providing legal consultations through the consulting office (legal clinic) to community members, state departments, and the private sector after obtaining official approvals.

Objectives:

- Raising the academic level of students by developing an admission plan for each academic year in terms of stating the opinion on the conditions for accepting students and determining the number of accepted students.

- Identifying students’ problems and trying to find the best ways to overcome the difficulties that the student may face during the academic year, whether inside or outside the college, especially students of the internal departments.

- Emphasis on raising the level of teaching performance by following up on the scientific plan for the research assigned to each teaching staff during the academic year, following up on the approved curriculum in lectures, and following up on the teaching work structure in accordance with the University Service Law.

- Keeping pace with developments taking place in society at all levels by holding scientific conferences and seminars and hosting those with specializations in all matters related to the study of law, including judges, lawyers, and administrative employees at all levels.

- Finding ways to communicate with other universities at the local and regional levels by finding ways of cooperation with them, such as sending professors to give lectures or receiving professors for the same purpose.

Job Opportunities for Graduates

Working in courts as a lawyer and working in various state departments and the private sector in legal affairs as an employee or legal representative.
