A Scientific Seminar on the Criminal Liability of Lifeguards in Swimming Pools

The Continuing Education Division at the College of Law and Political Science organized a scientific seminar on the criminal liability of lifeguards in swimming pools. The seminar, chaired by the Head of the Continuing Education Division, Assistant Professor Dr. Halo Mohammed Saleh, and attended by Lecturer Dr. Nadia Mustafa Hussein and swimming instructor Shahla Sami Kadhim, addressed safety requirements and rules, as well as the skills required of lifeguards in swimming pools. It also discussed criminal liability for damages resulting from a lifeguard's negligence in performing their duties, whether intentional or unintentional.

The seminar clarified the position of the Iraqi legislator in the General Penal Code, outlining the prescribed penalties for such actions.
