A master's thesis at the College of Law and Political Science at Kirkuk University discussed the protection of human rights during international conflicts
The thesis submitted by the student: Hussein Okla Muhammad aimed to explain what is meant by internationalized conflicts, explain their type and the rules applicable to contemporary conflicts, and clarify the standards adopted by international judiciary to determine the responsibility of the elements involved in internationalized conflicts.
The letter concluded that internationalized conflicts contain within them elements of international and non-international armed conflict, and that the issue of adapting it from a legal perspective appears to be a complex issue, which prompted the international judiciary to define two standards for the internationalization of these conflicts, which are the standard of effective control and comprehensive oversight, and in light of that, the law is determined.
