A master's thesis at the College of Law and Political Science, titled "The Legal Regulation of Procedural Silence: A Comparative Study," was discussed by student Taysir Abdul Salam Sabti in the Hammurabi Hall at the college.

The thesis, discussed in the presence of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Murad Saeb Mahmoud, aimed to clarify the conceptual framework of procedural silence, its nature, conditions, and procedures in the Civil Procedure Code, its practical application in Iraqi and comparative jurisprudence, and its implications.
The thesis concluded that procedural silence is a topic of significant scientific and theoretical importance, as it is a frequently recurring issue in judicial practice. This includes the failure to raise procedural defenses or the refusal to exercise appeal procedures within the legally prescribed deadlines, all of which are positions that can be interpreted as having significant legal implications.
