Kirkuk Journal of Engineering Sciences Editorial Board Meeting

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jeleng Akram Omar, a meeting of the Editorial Board of Kirkuk Journal of Engineering Sciences was held, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Yousef Salam Shawani, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal. A number of basic issues related to the journal were discussed, as follows:
1. The members discussed matters related to developing the general policy of the journal to ensure its inclusion in the solid global containers such as Scopus.
2. The final model of the journal (Template) was agreed upon, as well as the journal interface (Logo) in addition to the researcher's guide (Author guide).
3. The general specializations in which the journal is published were agreed upon, the most prominent of which were (civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering) in order to achieve the basic requirements of the global containers, to ensure the achievement of international standards and increase the chances of their adoption within the solid scientific databases.
4. It was agreed to receive research from the researchers and on the website.

5. Specialized subgroups were created for the purpose of proceeding with receiving the research and for the purpose of distributing tasks among the members of the Editorial Board.
6. Research will be accepted free of charge for the first year, provided that the research is a novelty idea and includes a researcher from outside Iraq (International).
7. Urging lecturers and researchers to register on the journal's website as reviewers so that the journal has a database of reviewers.
At the end of the meeting, the Dean expressed her thanks and appreciation to the members of the editorial board for their efforts in upgrading the journal, stressing the importance of teamwork to achieve the journal's goals and make it a distinguished scientific platform at the local and international levels.
