In the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Jelnik Akram Omar, Eng. Ahmed Hassan Ghareeb, a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering at Kirkuk University, gave a lecture on applications of artificial intelligence and data science at the Kirkuk Foundation for Education and Humanitarian Aid, attended by the Director of the Foundation, Mrs. Gombut Abdul Wahed Ahmed Kozaji, members of the Foundation, and a group of students in the scientific departments in our college.
The uses of artificial intelligence in various industries, such as engineering specializations, the medical industry, manufacturing, medicine, and information technology, were highlighted, in addition to methods for collecting modern digital data and making decisions regarding this and other data. By illustrating practical examples, the speaker was able to demonstrate how to improve operations and enhance efficiency using AI technologies.
As for data science, the latest developments in this field were discussed, including analyzing big data and using it to extract patterns and trends, as well as applications of data science in various fields such as marketing, medicine, and finance.
Another lecture was also held on the AutoCAD engineering drawing program, delivered by engineer Safaa Qadir Abdullah, chief engineer at the North Oil Company, where he presented a comprehensive overview of the uses and applications of this program in the field of mechanical engineering, architecture and industrial design. The lecture also included an introduction to the concepts of engineering drawing and its uses in designing parts, assemblies, and technical drawings.
The two lectures witnessed lively and interactive discussions among the attendees, which added value to the event. With this success, this activity reflects the importance of knowledge exchange and continuous learning, and highlighted the role of universities and educational institutions in promoting these values and transferring modern technologies to society.
