The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department participates in an international conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain
The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Arab Ghaidan, participated in the Arab Conference on Information and Communications Technology 2024, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from February 27 to 28, 2024.
This conference was distinguished by its main theme, “Digital Transformation for Sustainable Infrastructure,” which attracted the attention of experts and those interested in the field of technology and engineering. The seventh edition of the conference was characterized by the continuous expansion it witnessed since its launch in 2010, becoming one of the leading conferences in the Arab region.
In addition to his active participation in the conference through presentations and workshops, the department head also presented an outstanding research paper during the conference activities. This paper dealt with a simulation study of the heat transfer coefficient for bars of different diameters and materials that act as a heat sink, as it presented the results of his recent research with his research team and his in-depth analyzes in this field.
It is worth noting that the conference was sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, the Federation of Arab Engineers and the Bahrain Society of Engineers, which gave it an additional dimension of importance and distinction
