"The mutual influence between the Turkish and Arabic languages ​​in a historical and cultural context"

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, the Turkish Language Department, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education, organized a distinguished scientific symposium entitled “The Mutual Influence between the Turkish and Arabic Languages ​​in a Historical and Cultural Context” on 04/17/2024, and it was delivered by Professor Dr. Musa Yildiz, President of Gazi University.

 An important and vital topic was addressed in the presence of experts and academics from various scientific backgrounds. The symposium was characterized by a dialogue session and specialized presentations on many topics related to the influence of the Turkish and Arabic languages ​​on each other during different historical periods, as well as the cultures that flourished in the vicinity of the two languages, and shed light on The influence of the Arabic language on the Turkish language and how this is reflected in literature, art and thought in Turkish society, and then the emergence of the results of the influence of languages ​​on Arabic and Turkish literature and culture, as well as cultural communication between peoples.

  The attendees praised the importance of the topic at hand and the abundance of useful information that was presented during the symposium, which would enhance the means of cultural and linguistic communication between the Arab and Turkish peoples. In conclusion, His Excellency the Dean expressed his happiness with the great success achieved by the symposium and his aspiration to organize more scientific events in the future with the aim of Promoting cultural and knowledge exchange between different cultures and languages.
