The numerical miracle of the Holy Qur’an in a scientific symposium

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, the Continuing Education Division organized a symposium in cooperation with the Arabic Language Department, a distinguished scientific symposium entitled “The Numerical Miracle in the Holy Qur’an between Illusion and Reality” on 3/17/2024, and it was delivered by A.M. Dr. Saad Abdel Rahim Ahmed.

The symposium discussed the concept of numerical miracles and numbers related to the Holy Qur’an. The various opinions on this topic were reviewed and analyzed scientifically and critically. The lecturer spoke about the necessity of understanding whether the numbers mentioned in the Qur’an are merely details and stories mentioned for educational and guidance purposes, or whether they carry symbolic meanings. Or mathematical symbols that carry deeper meanings. When we take into account that the Holy Qur’an is not a mathematical book, but rather a guide for people in their religious and moral lives, we can reach a reasonable conclusion that mentioning numbers in the Qur’an has another purpose other than mathematics or numbers in themselves, and the lecturer confirmed. There are also complex numerical patterns within the Qur’an that govern many mathematical phenomena and concepts, and it is important to be careful not to fall into excessive interpretation and interpretation. It is obligatory to be wise and balanced in looking at these matters.

The Dean of the College indicated that the symposium was an important addition to the academic and cultural scene, and it proved that informed scientific discussions contribute to the advancement of knowledge and a better and deeper understanding of religious and linguistic phenomena.FB IMG 1711046909957FB IMG 1711046906030
