Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, and in the presence of a number of professors and students, the Kurdish Language Department held a special ceremony entitled "Mother Language Day" to celebrate International Kurdish Language Day. The ceremony included a variety of cultural and artistic activities that highlighted the importance of the Kurdish language and its role in strengthening cultural and civilizational identity. The ceremony opened with a speech by the Head of the Kurdish Language Department, who highlighted the importance of celebrating this day as an opportunity to remind people of the role of the mother tongue in transmitting heritage and strengthening communication between generations. The ceremony featured a theatrical performance by the department's students, which addressed the value of the Kurdish language in building national and cultural identity. Poetry and prose readings by students and professors expressed the aesthetics of the Kurdish language and its role in documenting history and civilization. The ceremony also included artistic and lyrical performances that added an atmosphere of joy and pride. The Dean praised this event, emphasizing that celebrating the mother tongue is a celebration. He also praised the efforts of the Kurdish Language Department in organizing the ceremony and highlighting the status of the Kurdish language as an essential part of human heritage.
