Geography Department organizes a scientific symposium on procedural research

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, the Geography Department held a scientific symposium entitled "Procedural Research and its Importance in Applied Studies" within the framework of enhancing the capabilities of students and researchers in the field of applied scientific research. The symposium addressed the concept of procedural research as a tool for solving field problems facing researchers and teachers, focusing on the most important methodological methods and practical applications that can be employed in this type of research. The lecturers also reviewed a group of successful research models that were applied in various fields of geography, such as climate change, natural resource management, and urban planning. The symposium witnessed great interaction from the students, as the floor was opened for discussion and questions were raised about the mechanisms for implementing procedural research and the challenges that researchers may face in the field. The Dean praised the importance of this type of research in linking academic study to practical reality, calling for strengthening the culture of applied research among students for its important role in improving the quality of education and finding scientific solutions to societal problems.
