Scientific symposium on legal and judicial means to reduce the incidence of divorce

The Department of Quranic Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, organized a scientific symposium entitled "Legal and Judicial Means to Reduce the Incidence of Divorce". The symposium aimed to shed light on the most prominent legal, social and legal reasons that lead to high divorce rates, while presenting practical proposals to reduce this phenomenon that negatively affects the structure and stability of society. The symposium addressed several axes, and the lecturers presented an intervention on the legal provisions of divorce and its controls in Islamic jurisprudence. They discussed the psychological and social dimensions of this phenomenon and its impact on the family. They also presented an analytical vision on the laws and legislation related to divorce in Iraq. At the end of the symposium, the attendees praised the importance of the scientific presentation of the topic, stressing the need to enhance community awareness and activate the role of academic and advisory institutions in educating spouses about the importance of preserving the family entity and addressing marital problems in rational ways.
