Master's thesis discusses the spatial change in agricultural land uses

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, the master's thesis entitled (Spatial change in agricultural land uses in Daquq District) was discussed in the Department of Geography by the student Muhammad Ibrahim Awad in the college hall on 9-2-2024.

 This study sheds light on the spatial change in agricultural land uses in Daquq district at the level of the smallest administrative unit, which is the 70 districts administratively affiliated to the two branches of the district center and Al-Rashad sub-district. On this basis, the objectives of the study were set to study the changes in agricultural land uses between 2013 and 2023 and for two agricultural seasons, summer and winter, by employing geographical techniques (remote sensing and geographic information systems) to conduct the study and analysis based on satellite images at different dates and build digital maps of natural and human geographical factors to prepare them as variables in a scientific and systematic manner in the digital classification of satellite images to prepare the land cover classification and agricultural land uses and classify agricultural land uses into categories according to the summer and winter agricultural season and for two different years 2013 and 2023, in order to prepare a special database for agricultural land uses to be a basic basis in agricultural development and planning processes.
