A doctoral thesis in the College of Education for Human Sciences discusses the cinematography of the novel

Under the patronage and attendance of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohi El-Din, the doctoral thesis entitled (The Cinematography of the Novel - Tayeb Salih's Novels as a Model) was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language by the student Koldan Adnan Nour El-Din in the college hall on 8/28/2024.

The thesis dealt with an important topic, which is the relationship between cinema and the novel and the extent to which each of them benefits from the other's techniques, especially the benefit of the novel from modern cinema techniques such as montage and the use of time with its multiple techniques of accelerating the narration and slowing down the narration, as well as the technique of description and photography and the use of place, colors and sounds and their multiplicity. The study opened an interpretive horizon in the cinema of the novel and the extent to which cinema also benefits from the techniques of the novel.
