“A master’s thesis dealing with the old and the new from the sayings of Imam Al-Shafi’i, may God have mercy on him.”

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education discussed the master’s thesis entitled (The old and the new from the sayings of Imam Al-Shafi’i, may God have mercy on him, through the book Al-Hawi Al-Kabir by Al-Mawardi, from the Book of Prayer to the Book of Funerals) by researcher Raghda Sabah Ghareeb.

 The thesis dealt with the old and new sayings of Imam al-Shafi’i on the issues of the book of prayer, Friday prayers, and funerals, comparing them with the sayings of the schools of thought from the Hanafi, Maliki, and Hanbali schools, and discussing the evidence of each of them with weighting. 

 The discussion committee consisted of professors. .
