Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, today, Thursday, 6/13/2024, the discussion of the master’s thesis entitled “Urban Poverty and its Reflection on the Urban Environment in the City of Hawija” by researcher Ahmed Fayek Ahmed took place.
The study dealt with the phenomenon of urban poverty as a large and complex problem, and its complexity is clearly increasing day by day in various segments of urban society. Therefore, the study came to shed light on the most important reasons that led to the spread and emergence of urban poverty in the city of Hawija and the proposed solutions that can combat this phenomenon And get rid of it The presence of the phenomenon of urban poverty in the city of Hawija is evident through the city’s lack of many community and public services and infrastructure services, as well as the lack of job opportunities and high unemployment rates, especially among the working class group (15-64 years), and the strong direct relationship between the independent variable and Which represents urban poverty and the dependent variable that represents the urban environment is that the greater the urban poverty, the greater the problems of the urban environment’s population, economic, social, and services.
