A master’s thesis in the Department of Qur’anic Sciences discusses Qur’anic inferences in the book Al-Hawi Al-Kabir

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education, on 3/6/2024, discussed the master’s thesis entitled (Qur’anic inferences according to Imam Al-Mawardi in his book Al-Hawi Al-Kabir - Chapter on Worship and Transactions - A Comparative Jurisprudential Study) by the student. (Israa Muwafaq Latif) and in the college hall.

 The thesis dealt with the Qur’anic inferences that Imam Al-Mawardi - may God have mercy on him - made on jurisprudential issues in the chapter on acts of worship and transactions in his book Al-Hawi Al-Kabir, which is considered one of the most important jurisprudential sources in comparative jurisprudence. The author of the book mentioned the auditory and rational evidence on the issues and their study among the jurisprudential schools of thought and linked them to the surahs of the Qur’an. The Holy Qur’an, and I concluded that Imam Al-Mawardi - may God have mercy on him - cited twenty-two verses from different surahs from the Holy Qur’an in the chapter on acts of worship and the number of their issues to forty jurisprudential issues distributed in different chapters, and he cited thirteen verses from different surahs from the Holy Qur’an as evidence in the chapter on transactions and the number of their issues. Nineteen jurisprudential issues.
