Master's thesis on the impact of the prisoners of the polytheists of Quraysh on the Islamic call

In the presence and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, the master's thesis entitled "Prisoners of the polytheists of Quraysh in the Battle of Badr and their role in the Islamic call until the end of the Rashidun era" was discussed in the Department of History by the student Sakhr Ali Aziz in the college hall on 1-23-2025.

The importance of the study lies in the fact that it is the first detailed study that addresses the life, impact, and role of a large group of Quraish polytheists who were captured in the Battle of Badr, from the political, military, religious, or intellectual aspects in the era of the message and the Rightly-Guided Caliphate. After defining the prisoner and how he was treated in the past among other peoples and religions, and studying the rights of prisoners in Islam, the study addressed their number and status in Mecca before Islam and their positions on the Islamic call in Mecca before the migration of the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) to Medina and their position on historical events after the migration and the entry of some of them or a large number of them into Islam and the role they played in the era of the message and the Rightly-Guided Caliphate.
