Visit to the Elderly Care Home in Kirkuk Governorate

 

Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, and with direct supervision from the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Sakina Ali Karim, and in an effort to activate the humanitarian and social role in serving the community, a delegation from the College of Basic Education at the University of Kirkuk organized a visit to the Elderly Care Home in Kirkuk Governorate on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

The delegation included several faculty members, and during the visit, they provided moral support to the inmates and promoted the spirit of social solidarity, reflecting the college's humanitarian message in connecting with all segments of society, especially the elderly who represent a fundamental pillar in building the community.

The Dean of the college emphasized the importance of caring for the elderly and providing support to them as they are an integral part of the fabric of society, stressing the need to promote a culture of solidarity and compassion within the academic community.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sakina Ali Karim spoke, emphasizing the college's commitment to supporting humanitarian and voluntary initiatives, noting that such visits enhance the values of charity and benevolence among both students and faculty alike.

This visit is part of a series of volunteer activities that the college is keen to organize, believing in the importance of instilling the values of compassion and giving in the hearts of its members and students.
