The College of Basic Education, through the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized a workshop entitled "Combating Social Stigma" as part of a series of activities aimed at enhancing community awareness and providing psychological support to students. The workshop addressed the concept of social stigma and its negative effects on individuals and society, where the reasons that lead to this stigma were discussed and the role of culture and social beliefs in perpetuating it. Effective strategies and methods were also presented to combat it, with a focus on the role of educational institutions in educating students about the importance of tolerance and understanding and respect for diversity and differences among individuals.
