The College of Arts Organizes a Festival on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enja, the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit, organized a cultural awareness festival on Monday, November 25, 2024. The event marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women under the theme "One Voice Campaign Towards a Better Tomorrow."

The festival, which included lectures by the Dean and the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Koistan Najm Al-Deen Enja, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of standing against violence toward women, combating it through all legal and societal means, and working to reduce it.

The event featured various activities, including the recitation of poetry by faculty members and students, a theatrical performance titled "No to Violence Against Women" directed and supervised by the Head of the Arabic Department, as well as art exhibitions and posters highlighting the dangers and types of violence.
