College of Arts Holds a Scientific Symposium on the Role of the Arabic Language in Promoting Cultures

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm Al_Deen Enja, the College of Arts / Continuing Education Division, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, held a scientific symposium titled "The Role of the Arabic Language in Promoting Cultures and Understanding Exchange Among Society Members to Reduce Extremism" on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

The Dean of the College delivered a lecture highlighting the beauty of the Arabic language and its use by its speakers towards others, emphasizing the importance of making Arabic a tool to prevent extremism that leads to racism or harm to others.

In this regard, he referenced the Iraqi Official Languages Law No. 7 of 2014, which protects the rights of Iraq’s linguistic communities and their use in educational institutions as a language of instruction.
