The "Read" initiative has been launched at the Faculty of Arts, University of Kirkuk, aiming to establish the importance of reading in developing mental skills, building an academic persona, and spreading cultural awareness within the university community.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Omer Najmuddin Inja, directed the heads of academic departments to place great emphasis on ensuring active participation from both faculty members and students.
The initiative aims to promote a culture of reading as a fundamental pillar in building individuals and society. It also seeks to highlight the role of reading in fostering intellectual and cognitive awareness, as well as its importance in supporting the educational process and keeping pace with scientific advancements.
