Head of the Arabic Language Department Participates in Master’s Thesis Defense at the University of Kufa

Asst. Prof. Dr. Kowistan Najm al-Din Enja, Head of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, took part as a committee member in the defense of a master’s thesis entitled “The Construction of Perspective in the Novels of Mahmoud Jassim Othman” by graduate student Zaid Abbas Kazem, held at the College of Arts, University of Kufa.

The thesis explored the transformations and contradictions of modern man, highlighting his ability to grasp the richness and complexity of life experiences, and presenting them through narratives that vary in perspective and distribution of knowledge.

The study concluded that the construction of perspective in the novel represents one of the most important narrative issues that merits scholarly attention, as it is directly linked to the way reality is presented in texts, the reader’s guidance, and the distribution of knowledge between narrator and characters.

The thesis was awarded the grade of “Pass with fulfillment.”
