Dean of the College of Arts Participates in an International Seminar on Reshaping Professional Learning Communities

The Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enja, participated on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in the international scientific seminar titled "Reshaping Professional Learning Communities in Arab Countries: Challenges and Future Opportunities."

In his opening speech at the seminar, the Dean emphasized the importance of focusing on the labor market, as it plays a significant role in the life of students. He noted that the labor market has become volatile and ever-changing, depending on time and place, in response to the necessities and the desire to secure job opportunities.

He highlighted that professional learning opportunities have become essential in work environments, particularly in societies with lower income levels. Moreover, developed societies tend to rely more on these skills than others, aiming to strengthen their economies.

The Dean also pointed out that vocational education plays a crucial role in modern times, as it helps equip young people with the skills needed to improve this type of education. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on key aspects within educational institutions, such as developing training programs for workers, updating academic skills to meet market needs, and providing scientific minds to update curricula in line with public interests and the labor market.
