A Scientific Seminar on Climate Change at the College of Arts

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enjeh, the College of Arts / Continuing Education Division, in collaboration with the Department of Applied Geography, organized a scientific seminar titled (Climate Change and the Challenges of Our Time).

The seminar included two lectures: one by Asst. Lecturer Huda Burhan Mahmoud titled (The Concept and Causes of Climate Change), and the other by Asst. Lecturer Yaseen Muqdad Majeed titled (The Impacts and Challenges of Climate Change and Solutions to Address Them). The lectures provided an explanation of the concept of climate change and its causes.

The seminar aimed to explore the best ways to confront these changes in light of current conditions, and to propose solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of these challenges, which have become a global issue, not just a local one, posing a significant threat to the environment as a whole.
