Scientific Symposium on Developing English Language Teaching

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enja, and the Dean of Al-Qalam University College, Prof. Dr. Latif Saeed Al-Barzanji, the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk and Al-Qalam University College, in collaboration with their respective English Departments, organized a scientific Symposium on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, titled "Ways to Enhance English Language Teaching for Non-Native Speakers."

The symposium included lectures by the Head of the English Department, Dr. Yousif Khorsheed Saeed, and faculty members Luwaytha'a Salah Habib and Asin Arjmand Qader. These lectures focused on utilizing modern technology to improve the experience of learning English through smart applications and interactive programs.

The symposium aimed to educate students on the role of technology in improving English language teaching as a second language. It also highlighted the challenges faced by students in learning English and presented innovative solutions to overcome these obstacles.
