Professor Dr. Omar Najm Al-Deen Enja, Dean of the College of Arts, participated in the international scientific symposium titled "The Culture of Difference, Not Disagreement."
During the symposium, which was held online, the Dean stated in his speech that in light of the digital and technological revolution the world is witnessing today, humans have been able to open up to one another despite geographical distance. He noted that some people are beginning to understand that differences are constant, and what changes is how we deal with these differences.
The Dean emphasized that pluralism is an important tributary of proper and correct progress, and that the cultures of difference and dialogue are inseparable. He added that reviving the language of dialogue is the first step towards building a society that believes in the culture of difference.
The symposium also featured a contribution from Professor Salah Araibi from the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, with a presentation titled "Negotiation Strategies: Mediation for Conflict Resolution." Additionally, academics from Algeria, Morocco, and Palestine participated in this symposium.
