Faculty of Arts Lecturer Participates in University of Baghdad Conference

Dr. Bassem Mahmoud Ali, a lecturer in the Department of Applied Geography at the Faculty of Arts, University of Kirkuk, participated in a conference hosted by the College of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad. He presented a research paper titled "Geographic Enclaves in Geopolitical Thought: Kaliningrad Oblast as a Model."

The research explores the concept of geographic enclaves from the perspective of modern geopolitical thought. It analyzes the dimensions of Kaliningrad's existence as a Russian enclave in the heart of Europe, focusing on its impact on the balance of power between Russia and NATO, as well as the strategic role it plays in Russian maritime and military strategy.
