Dean of the College of Arts Participates in an International Scientific Symposium on Diabetes

The Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm al-Din Injah, participated in the international scientific symposium titled "When the Body Becomes a Negotiator: Diabetes as a Dialogue between the Mind, Psyche, Biology, and Modern Medical Practice."

In his speech during the symposium, the Dean addressed the necessity of caring for those suffering from this disease from all aspects, in a manner that ensures a better life for them and secures the means that would lead to their complete recovery.

The Dean emphasized the necessity of providing basic home health care methods for diabetes patients, which includes offering support and medical assistance by professional nurses experienced in the management and treatment of diabetes. He explained that Iraqi health institutions are striving to provide the best necessary treatment methods for these patients.

He noted that the care of a diabetes patient aims to achieve two main objectives: increasing patient awareness and empowering them to manage their condition, including understanding the diet and necessary care, as well as helping to prevent the need for hospitalization or reducing the length of stay.
