The Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, organized an educational visit for third- and fourth-year students to the historic Qishla of Kirkuk, with participation from several faculty members.
The aim of the visit was to familiarize students with the historical significance of Kirkuk, as well as to celebrate its rich and diverse cultural heritage through the exploration of the Qishla's architectural and historical value.
The visit included a detailed explanation of the history of the Qishla and the major events it has witnessed. The Qishla stands as a rare architectural monument, constructed with stone and gypsum, showcasing traditional architectural styles that reflect the region's rich history.
