On February 26, 2025, the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, in collaboration with the Ibtidaa Foundation for Human Rights and supported by the Iraqi Human Association under the "Bridge" project to promote peaceful coexistence and tolerance among communities in Kirkuk, held a cultural festival titled "Peaceful Coexistence: The Pinnacle of Humanity's Pure Existence."
The festival began with a speech by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm al-Din Enja, discussing the role of the Quran in spreading peaceful coexistence. This was followed by a speech from the Head of the Department of Arabic Language, Asst. Prof. Dr. Koystan Najm al-Din Enja, on peaceful coexistence in Kirkuk city, and a speech by the Head of the Ibtidaa Foundation.
The festival featured the national anthem, poetry readings by faculty and students from the department, a play directed by the Head of the Department, musical performances, distribution of awareness leaflets on peaceful coexistence, and the organization of a bazaar and an exhibition of artwork.
