Dean of the College of Arts Participates in International Medical Forum on Cancer

Professor Dr. Omar Najm Al-Deen Enja, the Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, participated in the virtual international medical forum titled "Engineering Hope: Redefining the Future of Cancer Treatment."

In his speech during the forum, the dean highlighted that cancer is a sensitive issue that evolves continuously due to modern discoveries and scientific advancements. He emphasized the importance of awareness and education in diagnosing such diseases, noting that early detection is a crucial method for improving survival chances, whether fully or partially. He also pointed out the need for physical, laboratory, and imaging tests.

The dean cautioned that sometimes medical specialists, in their rush, might perform surgical operations, only for complications to arise post-surgery. He stressed that this could lead to recurring problems for the patient, necessitating alternative treatments. He advocated for the use of precise imaging techniques to assess the size and impact of the disease.

Dr. Enja called for collaboration and coordination among medical specialties to ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of the patient. He also stressed the importance of not allowing patients to lose hope, despite the severity of the disease.
