The College of Arts Organizes an Educational Trip to the Mandaean Sabean Temple

On February 10, 2025, the Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, organized an educational trip to the Mandaean Sabean Temple in Kirkuk Governorate.

The trip included an introduction to the temple, its contents, and religious rituals. Additionally, the participants had the opportunity to explore the temple's library and propose the establishment of a Mandaean Sabean Folk Heritage Museum, to preserve and celebrate their cultural heritage within the temple's space.

The educational trip was attended by several faculty members from the Department of History, including Prof. Dr. Ibtihal Adel Ibrahim, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mohsen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Salem Awad, Dr. Azad Majid, and Asst. Lecturer Asmaa Mahmoud, as well as second- and fourth-year students from the department.
