An Educational Seminar on Combating the Phenomenon of (electronic harassment and blackmail)

Under the patronage of the Honorable President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Honorable Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Al-Jubouri.
As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Division at the College of Education for Girls, the Continuing Education Division, in coordination with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held an educational symposium on combating the phenomenon of (electronic harassment and blackmail) in cooperation with the community police and the Guidance Unit. The symposium included three topics:
The first axis: forms of verbal harassment and through social networking sites.
The second axis: The reasons for the spread of the phenomenon of harassment, including family disintegration, deteriorating economic conditions, lack of religious motivation, absence of legal deterrent, and global openness on social networking sites.
The third axis: Recommendations on the necessity of knowing ways to prevent electronic harassment, including:
1) Call the community police hotline (497) (497)
2) Explaining the university’s role in spreading awareness of the phenomenon of electronic harassment and blackmail.
3) Inform the competent security authorities in order to contribute to the arrest of the harasser and protect others from danger.
4) Distributing leaflets to students related to sexual harassment and electronic blackmail by the community police after the end of the symposium.
