Dialogue Seminar (No to Violence Against Women)

Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Al-Jubouri, and in cooperation with the Kirkuk Police Command, Family and Child Protection Department, Mr. Colonel Qaisar Muhammad Hassan Al-Jubouri, the Guidance Division, the Community Police Division, the United Nations Mission (UNAMI), the Iraqi Hope Society, and the Women’s Empowerment Department in the governorate.
The College of Education for Girls, with the participation of the Family and Child Protection Department, held a dialogue symposium entitled (No to violence against women and girls)
Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed stressed the university’s keenness to support all student activities, especially activities that call for contributing to combating violence against women and giving them the right to a healthy life based on sound foundations.
This comes through the university’s endeavor to hold many seminars, courses, workshops and awareness meetings under the patronage of Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, President of the University, and in cooperation with all civil society institutions and organizations, which combat forms of violence against women and discuss their basic rights stipulated in all international conventions and legislation. National in all countries of the world, noting that the university’s interest in women’s issues comes within the great interest that the Kirkuk Police Command pays to women’s issues and combating violence and discrimination against women.
This came during his participation in the dialogue symposium, under the slogan “No to violence against women and girls.” The symposium was attended by a group of department heads and faculty members at the college and a crowd of male and female students, which aims to combat all forms of violence and calls for solidarity with women’s issues and rights. Mr. Colonel noted The need to educate students about the dangers of the phenomenon of violence against women through student activities that contribute to spreading awareness of women’s issues.
