The Devil and the Reason for His Creation

As part of the scientific activities of the Continuous Education Division at the College of Education for Women in Kirkuk University, a panel discussion titled “The Devil and the Wisdom Behind His Creation” was organized. The discussion was organized and funded by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Al-Jubouri who was the respected dean of the college. The session was led by Mr. Ahmed Kareem Yousif, a lecturer in the Arabic language department.

The panel discussion touched on the linguistic etymology of the word “devil,” which stems from words such as “shatan,” “shaytan,” “shat,” “shata,” “shat,” which mean deviation, opposition, burning, invalidity, destruction, persistence and falsehood. The devil is portrayed as an antagonist and an enemy.

The objective of the panel discussion was to clarify that the devil is a spiritual enemy who has no control over people, other than by means of whispering, temptation, manipulation, and instigation. The devil subjects people to his rule and watches them from where they cannot see him.
