Workshop Titled "Mechanism of Publishing in Reputable International Journals" for Postgraduate Students at Kirkuk University

Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ali Mohammed Tamim, the Department of Life Sciences organized a specialized workshop titled "Mechanism of Publishing in Reputable Scientific Journals." This event was held within the framework of the scientific research skills development program for postgraduate students at the university.

The workshop aimed to enhance students' capabilities in scientific publishing, familiarize them with the essential steps for selecting the appropriate journal, and explain the process of preparing scientific research in accordance with international standards. Additionally, it clarified the ethics of scientific publishing and methods for avoiding predatory journals.

The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Amira Kamal Mohammed, who provided a comprehensive scientific presentation aimed at enhancing students' abilities to select suitable publication venues, along with a detailed explanation of the research preparation process according to contemporary international standards.

Furthermore, she discussed global databases such as Scopus and Clarivate, explored strategies to increase the chances of research acceptance in first-quartile (Q1) journals, and offered practical advice for improving the overall quality of scientific research
