As part of the distinguished scientific presence of the College of Science's faculty members across Iraqi universities, Assistant Professor Dr. Shahla Jamal Shakkour, a faculty member in the Chemistry Department, participated in the defense committee for the PhD thesis of student Mohammed Farhan Ahmed at the Chemistry Department – Tikrit University. The thesis is entitled:
"Development and Evaluation of Different Analytical Methods for the Determination of Some Multi-Component Drugs in Their Pure Forms and Pharmaceutical Preparations."
This thesis aimed to innovate and develop accurate, highly sensitive analytical methods for the simultaneous determination of three groups of vital drugs, which included: a mixture of (Paracetamol, Pseudoephedrine, and Chlorpheniramine), a mixture of (Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide), as well as a mixture of (Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim).
This scientific activity comes within the framework of enhancing academic cooperation and exchanging expertise among Iraqi universities, which contributes to the development of scientific research and the elevation of academic standards
