The University of Kirkuk hosted a specialized qualifying training course on strategies for facing crises and natural disasters, organized by the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center Unit in collaboration with the Civil Defense Directorate in the governorate. The College of Science recorded active participation in the course through the attendance of several of its staff and students.
The course focused on the fundamental pillars of emergency management, including methods for dealing with fires, floods, and earthquakes. Furthermore, the lecturers highlighted the importance of weather forecasting and the activation of early warning systems, along with training the participants on the use of modern safety equipment and citizen rescue methods to ensure a rapid and effective response
